A Place That Calls You

Do you have a place that calls you?
One you cannot get out of your head?
Regardless if you have been there or not, you long for it, dream of it
And collect anything that you can find that is connected to it.
Like Moana sings about the ocean calling her,
Everyone tells her not feel this way, make her confused as to why she does,
Yet it still sings back to her in her mind.
She knows not why, but feels the call
Having a place call to you, is a feeling not easily explained.
Why this place and not another?
I see other places, beautiful and exciting
That one day I would like to see.
But they do not make me feel the same.
This special place still wont let go of me.
My thoughts and part of my heart is always there.
Even in my sleep.
My dreams are sometimes cruel and let me think I am still there
Only to wake with an unshakeable disappointment.
You love the life you live, yet something is missing.
Would you be happier if you were in your place that calls you?
Or is it just another dream?
Will you still wake up disappointed and need to dream a new dream?
Do we ever really know what will bring us satisfaction?
Or is it all an illusion?
Maybe we need something we can't have, something unattainable to wish for
In order to be happy.
